I have one of the original Moog Voyager's Maple Edition purchased from Big City Music back in July of 2004.
I have never upgraded it, so it is still using OS 2.1...yes you read correctly 2.1!
I hated shipping it out and as my daddy used to say "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

And since it sounds great with no issues it has remained in my studio like the day it arrived from BCM.
Anyway,I've always wished I had more slots to save patches I've edited or created, so I've had to overwrite many of the factory patches.
I was unable to use the Soundtower Voyager Editor because of my OS 2.1 version, and was quite envious of the expanded banks.
All this is history since I purchased the Soundtower Plug SE after receiving the demo link from Moog over the weekend.
Download and registration is quite simple and both the demo and full installation installed correctly into Cubase 6, and no problems with the TC Electronics Twin Impact midi in/out.
My initial thought was to save some of my favorite presets in case I pushed the wrong button and lost them.
It took me a few trys to figure this out, and frequent rereading the pdf manual helped guide me along.
I finally realized(this wasn't in the manual)but discovered I needed to go to Master on the Voayger and use Send Panel Sound, hit enter and BAM! the preset showed up on the Voyager Plug lcd. Go to file, click on save XXXX preset and save to the chosen folder. Loading the saved presets is just as easy.
Choosing presets from the various banks is so simple and easy I thought I was dreaming. Click on a bank and the patch shows up on the hardware Voyager but remains in the buffer and does not overwrite unless you write to memory.
All the Voyager knobs respond when moved from the hardware Voyager and vice versa.
I have just touched the surface using this great software offered by Moog and designed by Soundtower.
As of yet I haven't encountered any bugs, but as I said I haven't used any of the other features or tried it while recording.
It loaded into Cubase perfectly after installing the dll into the VSTPlug in folder.
Thank you Moog and Soundtower for offering this great software.
So far I can highly recommend it, especially for others such as myself who are running the older OS.
This is the best $79 dollars I've spent in a long long time, and it's worth every penny imo.
