Re: Foundation Of Synthesis 101 Marc Doty Bob Moog Foundatio
i really like the previews of the videos marc, how long will the full videos be available for? i dont have $125 to spend on synth videos right now, all my money is going to my car (very expensive and unexpected repairs
) and our trip to ashville for moogfest. oh, and also when you pay for the videos, do you get to keep them/download them or just rent them? thanks

My modular so far: Q104, Q106 x2, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, Mixer and Mankato playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M x2 ( STEREO!) Volca Beats and Bass, Arturia Beat step
Re: Foundation Of Synthesis 101 Marc Doty Bob Moog Foundatio
I think if you wait until all are available and online, it's just $25 (assuming you watch them all during one month).
At least that's how I read it. And it's a virtual library so you are viewing/renting to watch during your subscription period.
(again, I'm no expert but that's how it reads to me).
Seems fair to me!

To be honest, I made them for the Moog Foundation, and am unsure of the mechanism in regard to macProVideo/Ask.
But a portion of the proceeds from each video benefit the Bob Moog Foundation... so, you know that the money you pay has a very beneficial effect!

Ok that seems more reasonable, I have no problem donating to the BMF (I've given them quite a bit already) but right now I'm on a tight budget. I misunderstood the details of video service. I was thinking it was $25 per month and there would be one video a month. But if they are all available now for $25, thats a different story. I think BMF should put these on dvd at some point though. I'm sure they have some contract to fulfill with the host site first. I would pay for a dvd(s) of these videos with out a doubt

Wold be nice just to buy a DVD

Re: Foundation Of Synthesis 101 Marc Doty Bob Moog Foundatio
Well, I don't know what macProVideo.com thinks about DVDs...
But I think it would be a challenge to fit 7 hours onto one... the resolution would be nearly half, and the quality would suffer too!

Yeah I know they probably have some sort if contract to fulfill with macprovideo but further down the line perhaps.museslave wrote:Well, I don't know what macProVideo.com thinks about DVDs...

And I did not realize it was 7 hours of video! That's awesome! So probably one dvd for each topic then...like a pbs video library

DVD pack all the way... finding 7 hours in a month to write music is hard enough let alone finding that time to watch movies online with my crappy ADSL network provider (hurry up with ADSL 2 or bloody cable in my town iinet!)
Re: Foundation Of Synthesis 101 Marc Doty Bob Moog Foundatio
Hell, I do that on my days off! I dedicate 8 hours of playing time when I'm not working, and have come up with some amazing soundscapes. Of course none of it is recorded...I should make a video sometime.BHC303 wrote:DVD pack all the way... finding 7 hours in a month to write music is hard enough
