Voyager help!! Noise from Filter B

Post by f_k_y » Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:35 am

Hi all
I just bought My Voyager Luna series keyboard from a US distributor 4 months ago. Unfortunately it suddenly started generating a clearly stable white noise from both main out- left channel and headphone- right channel last night, when I play any key on the keyboard. I think the noise was coming from Filter B as it became loudest when the sound with 4 pole mode in filter B was loaded. By switching filter B from 4-pole mode to 3 or 2-pole will greatly reduce the noise------However, noise could still be heard if comparing to the sound from filter A from the other channel. (Spacing tuned in the middle of zero)

Has any faced this issue and how did it solved? I just sent out an e-mail to the distributor and moog tech support but no response yet over the weekend. I just wondering It is not an isolate case cause it seems lime some of the people in this forum facing the similar noise problem from probably one of these two built-in filters. Do I have to ship the whole thing to Moog tech for repair? Though the keyboard is still under the warranty period but the oversea shipping cost could be huge. Honestly it is quite disappointed for me that such a famous brand of hardware synth would come out with such a quality issue.

Appreciate if someone knows this issue and let me know how to solve it. Thanks.
