Do you know of anyone who has modded their ProSoloist with sliders in order to make their own patches? I could imagine it would be a great synth...MC wrote:More likely they were derived from the 2500 not 2600.
Too bad ARP never designed a derivative with front panel knobs and switches (it wasn't the Explorer).

I have never heard of anyone modding a PS with sliders. That would be an interesting project. ... and ARP knew that too.MC wrote:ARP had some real maverick designers back then.
In the ProSoloist service manual, at least one of the circuits has a patent number proudly displayed.
It's overall a very complex design and far more involved than many other synths that were larger.

Steve Walsh of Kansas used an Arp Pro Soloist, While Kerry Livgren played all Mini Moog leads In the early days of the band. Picture of Keyboard set up is at 6:27. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81mCgm8i-0Y Also Thijs Van Leer of Focus used one on Hamburger Concerto.Great stuff!
