How to work with MOD

Post by jcrystal » Mon Jun 25, 2012 7:16 am

While I've been enjoying the capabilities of Animoog immensely, I still struggle to figure out mod settings and use of MOD strip. I haven't found any presets for which activating the MOD strip (by touch, then sliding) seems to do anything. In the settings area, I assume to use this you want to set source to "mod" - is that right? Once set, do you need to activate the strip for any setting? Any help here, or good examples of it in use?

Thanks!

WideSawLead uses the mod strip for vibrato.
Any time you set source = mod, you also need to set a destination and a non-zero Amount.

In the WideSawLead preset, you have the source = LFO with destination = pitch1semitone, and MOD is controlling the amount of LFO modulation that actually happens (zero MOD = no LFO to pitch, more MOD = more LFO to pitch).

Thanks, Amos. Your example was very helpful...with a little exploring of that preset I was able to find answers to all of my questions.
