Also wondering if the tap tempo switch will allow the user to tap in times more than the max of 800miliseconds for strange over clocked ring modish sounds?

The manual is very in depth regarding the function of this pedal, it explains that the tap tempo can be used to achieve times outside of the standard window, with ring mod like accents.

Overall looks like a true MOOG product, very well thought out in all aspects. I don't have a need for one, but really considering it because of its function / playability.

Glad to see the new MF-104M Analog delay! Now Those of us that missed out before on the previous Moogerfooger Analog Delays have a chance to get one. It's got MIDI too!

I tried it out (and preordered it) at Sweetwater today. Sounds freakin awesome. I've never used one of the prior delay so I don't have a reference, but I was blown away by it.

With an Eventide TF, 104z & CP already around, I should be able to figure out if it's necessary or not. From my collection standpoint its already got one vote. Really it depends on the TF as it does soooo much more, just no CV in. That LFO influence could really push me to the dark side - pun intended. I need demos!!

just took a look at the downloadable manual and with the midi implementation it looks as though you can do a whole extra slew of things...most interestingly overclock the delay line for super long clock noised delays!!!! thanks moog...this looks to be pretty much the ultimate analog delay!
side note as far as the arguement of it being "necessary" or not...lol. Since when did any of us gear hounds ever buy something that we deemed absolutely necessary??? Its another toy no matter which way you look at it, otherwise just buy a Line 6 DL-4 and be done with it. Owning a 104z, memory man, Ibanez AD-9, deluxe memory boy, and a roland space echo doesn't exclude me from that fact that I will own one of these and have a great time using it!

I'm not here to brag, but to answer your question, mine shipped today (and will be rec'd on Wednesday to NJ). This is only because I have a friend in the shipping business. But I should add that Moog did a great job with this one, meaning that they produced the manual online, began shipping to dealers, and actually landed product on the day of announcement. Many companies ship products 2-3 months after they are first announced and I'm not even going to get into what Minibrute have done.

If people didn't receive the Sweetwater catalog leak, this would have been a complete surprise, though some have speculated.

I've known about it for a little over a month but when I called Moog and asked Linda Lafferty for more details, she was shocked that I knew anything about it. I promised her that I would not discuss it with anyone until they announced it. I wanted to discuss it but I gave her my word so I kept my mouth shut.
