Wierdness after updating firmware...please help.

I have been experiencing difficulties trying to update my Phatty’s firmware for the past hour.

After tweaking the data transmission speed in SysEx Librarian, I have finally gotten the Phatty to at least appear like all is well (ie no wierd looking hyroglyphics or blank patches like the first couple of go arounds).

The problem now is that patches only sound proper if hit with a midi velocity of no more than ‘1’ (in other words as soft as possible). Up to about velocity value ‘80’ I can still here sort of low volume remnants of the patch but anywhere close to maximum velocity and I hear absolutely nothing. This occurs on all of the patches.

Hopefully I am just missing a minor detail that needs to be readjusted.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

The only prob I had updating it via MIDI-ox is I had to reconfigured it a couple times.. its like it worked after I deleted & re-added the MIDI input under Options | MIDI Devices..

Go to the Master menu and look for Filter Velocity sensitivity… I betcha it defaulted to -8 when you did the update. Set it to zero for normal sounding behavior, or set it above zero to have the filter open up a bit in response to velocity. I find that somewhere between +2 to +4 is the most playable; +6 is about the most I tend to want.

Bingo! Thank you so much for your help.
