where is everybody?

this forum seems really dead lately; where is everybody?

is it because of facebook? has facebook decimated the regular forum-based communication platform?

does the Moog facebook page have more traffic?

Face who?

Everyones on gearslutz, not facebook.

guilty, as charged

many people have gone to reddit as well

gearslutz is a joke… you show a photo of your Moogs and all you get is butt-hurt inspired abuse…!

I am here. I have nothing to say. OK, My DFAM and 2 Mothers are working as well as my Sub Phatty… My One 16 is in the pipeline for service. Probably a minor problem. Moog works.

I left gearslutz years ago, long before it became behringerslutz. I do not approve of the moderators on the synth section.

My preferred places are Analogue Heaven, Music Player Keyboard Corner, MW, and Facebook.

muffwiggler is good as well

Indeed, gearslutz is just a waste of time

Still around… but I play older models -Little Phatty, VOS, MoogerFoogers- and those are of less interest now.
Not sure the newer models topics are attracting less than before.

I’m here  But just because I have a problem with my Moog Grandmother :frowning:

this forum seems really dead lately; where is everybody?

All the cool kids hang out at MuffWiggler

I hesitate to write here since CAPTHA was implemented. I’m fully aware of some kind of protection from spamming is necessary. Other members I have my greatest respect for have made my opinion of that question to a thread of jokes. I have humor, no problems, but still asking for constrictive solutions of what for me is a creative roadblock.

Moog’s new “inovative” website has also radically reduced my visits there. Thankfully Moog instruments still shine, maybe more than ever.

I am able to post freely and never receive a Captha to confirm my post isn’t spam

Is it only me?

I’ve been hit with the CAPTCHA once here. It is annoying to have to copy your posts to prevent them from being lost - the time you forget is often the time it happens!

I also get the “checking to see if your browser is compatible” message with the three bouncing dots (though of course it’s not coming up now that I want to copy the text) most of the time.

EDIT: Here’s the message: Checking your browser before accessing moogmusic.com.

And sometimes the site shows up as text only - is that on my end or a problem with the forum itself?

I have not had any captcha popups

whenever I log in, it waits a few secs to run through a DNS/DOS attack filter. which is just fine with me

I can’t load the Moog website at all. But I am using old hardware and can’t upgrade my browser

Commodore Vic 20 FTW

I joined the forum about a week ago, but I have not posted until this moment
David, on the Gulf Coast of Florida, noodling around on my recently acquired Sub 37 (00787 / date of mfg 8/14).
I’m not on any social media sites (unless the Moog Forum is considered one).
I’ll have a number of newbie-esque questions, but I’ll ask on the dedicated Sub 37 “sub-section.”
Started synth-ing in early 70s with a white-face Odyssey: I’ve gigged with Yamaha, Roland, and Korg, but the Sub 37 is the first Moog in the house.

. . .any-hoo, that’s where I am at the present. Now, back to noodling.

Same here, except I can browse the Moog web site, since I’m not using a VIC20 anymore, but an upgraded version of my Amiga 2000: a Mac Mini 2018.

ha!

I still have an Amiga!

another backburner project: I want to get my Atari ST running & use it as a sequencer

I mostly visit MW and MIDIbox, little bit of MI. Too busy in the past years working and building new stuff and I haven’t bought anything new let alone anything Moog for a while now.

I probably check the Moog forum every month or two. I came here today because it looks like Behringer is working on clones of 900-series Moog modules in Eurorack format and wondered if anyone else had noticed.
