What to do with a R. A. Moog Portable Amplifier Speaker??

Hey hey everyone! I have become the owner of a R. A. Moog PMC-20 Portable Amplifier Speaker, but I know absolutely nothing about it! Can anyone enlighten me a bit? I’m curious to know how it works, how rare it may be, and (of course) some general idea of what it is worth. I will attach a few pictures of it to this thread. Any and all information is appreciated and welcomed! Thank you!

Wow, that’s pretty neat!

It appears to have a rechargeable battery inside, I would check that to make sure it’s not leaking, and maybe replace it with a new one?

Otherwise you could probably remove it & use the amp just with an A/C cord, or external batteries as the panel indicates?

Also wise to replace any old capacitors in the power supply.

Curious what sort of speaker is inside?

I’m guessing it was intended for theremin use

That is nice, and the badge is so cool-looking! If you wish to have it restored, Jareth Lackey, SynthPro, is a great option. Look up his youtube videos.

Good luck!

Eric

Wow! It looks quite nice  . Have you tried to use an A/C on it, or are you just using its external batteries?

For restoration, I’d recommend Jareth Lackey, SynthPro on YouTube. Look up his youtube videos.
