What packaging does the VX-351 Output Adapter come in?

I had a Voyager and VX-351 shipped to me which I received today.

The VX-351 was in its own box, there was a packaged cable also.

The instructions were separate and after perusing the installation instructions, I discovered that I was missing P/N 11-460.

I went through the shipping materials several times and I am sure it was not there.

Can somebody give me an idea of what I am looking for (packaging, etc.), so that at least I can help the people I bought it from get me the right part?

TIA,

You may not have the piece in question.

…but here is a quote from Mark E Smith from The Fall(and I wish I could get across the great Manc accent)

“…eh Tattoos are for… People from the suburbs… to tell People they are eh. Not fom the suburbs.”

You know what? Maybe it’s already installed in the Voyager if you bought it 2nd hand.

once again…

P/N 11-460 - Output Adapter Board.

It is a smallish board that has connectors on both sides and some surface-mount components. The illustration in the instructions does not do it justice. While I don’t recall how it was packaged in my VX351, I’m sure that it was wrapped seperately - perhaps even in an anti-static bag.

Follow the instructions and see if it hasn’t already been installed in your Voyager. This would make sense if you bought it second-hand.

If you don’t have the part, contact Moog Music and request one. While you can still connect the VX-351 to the Voyager without the missing part installed, you’ll quickly find that it doesn’t work properly.

Good luck!

Greg

I bought the Voyager and VX-351 new, actually.

The packaging hints are useful, thanks. It seems the company I purchased it from was not aware that the board came with the unit, and since everything as packaged separately I did not have a clue what to look for or where to look for it.

and thanks for the tattoo comment as well: since I consider The Fall to be the most obscenely pretentious band in recorded history, I feel that I have remained at the proper end of the spectrum for maintaining my owen self-respect

Thanks again all,

C’mon the fall more pretentious then …Trail of Dead or Secret Machines??? What about the “BH” Surfers, Scratch Acid, and GOOD GRIEF !!! (not !!!) SWITCH HITTER???

we did have an awful lot of Surfer idolatry in my town when I was growing up, but I think the context of playing the music in such a small place like austin made it alright.

You could get me to go along with that if you mentioned the Jack Officers, though.

As to the board, this is from the email I received monday morning from moog:

They usually ship in a little bubble wrap package in the box.

I don’t know whether the immediate response was from the forums, or from the inquiry by EffectsForLess (where I bought it from), but I was extremely pleased and grateful for the help.

thanks again to all,

Jack Officers??? I was JUST listening to their sole CD last week! Gibby and Jeff (where are you?) RULE ALL THE EARTH. Well, I at least enjoyed it a hell of a lot…
