What Drum/Beat machine are you using?

Recently lost 1/2 of my 2 piece band…drummer decided Grad school was in his future :frowning:

Now I’m wondering if anyone has used any beat/drum machines lately? I just looking for rudimentary, simple beats. Kinda of Black Moth Super Rainbow meets Dub/Rock Steady…

I’ve used various Boss/Roland, Alesis products in the past, as I prefer hands on style production to v-drums. I have an old G4 w/Logic Pro, but I’m not feeling the virtual drum machine. I’m really interested in the LinnDrum II, but who knows when that will actually/finally drop.

In the meantime…any suggestion?

Machinedrum SPS-1UW MKII. Expensive but it’s pretty much the best modern drum machine on the market.

Had a Roland R-8, Korg Electribe EMX1, Akai MPC2000XL, Korg DDM-110 & Akai XR-20 before.

Recently bought a Jomox Xbase 999 for a more authentic analogue drumcomputer (sounds come very close to that of a 808 or 909).
Sounds very fat/great and even has a X-Filter on board.

korg Electribe ESX1. Inexpensive, easy to use, and great sounding.

If I use one its a synsonics or a reason based sequence.

Im hoping to get back to a real trapset.

the preset drum machine on the wurli organ I picked up at the thrift store…still waiting for the parts for es-1…damn korg
