What are you mooging today?

Workload is almost unbearable atm and those brain cells in my head, those few still alive from the psychedelic era, are in such an excited state that I got to let some steam out. So what better in that case but to just moog around.

Moog : name of a company that has been manufacturing electronic devices, usually referred to as analog synthesizers, for 40 some years now.

moog : verb describing the activity of turning little knobs and pressing white keys (and a few black ones too if not playing in the C major scale) on analog musical devices, in order to produce some sounds, whether or not your aim is to attain either fame or musical virtuosis (is that a word?) or both.

to moog : common expression referring to the behavior of ditching responsabilities or other commitments in favor of immediate personal aural gratification.

usage : to moog around, to moog all day, etc. etc.

new moog : an object of personal pride and pleasure, to show to all your friends, but that can also be a source of extreme deception, not to mention hardship, if someone else happens to see the sales slip.

Now far from me to idea of getting credit for coining those terms, they must have been used hundreds of time before, but I have been using the mooging expression in some other post, thought it was cute, and just wanted to put this in writing while getting my mind off work.

While the title of this post was a rethorical question, this one is not :

So what are you mooging today?

Multi-mooging : (verb) An activity that involves playing many Moogs.

Very nice. I am a little bit jealous : I don’t have any yellow patch cables

Your giving a new meaning to the popular expression : In the moog

Nice indeed. But I see a modular Japanese undercover agent named Roland in there… Although you can still multi-moog with him too, as he sounds quite capable!
