Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook - Anyone have it?

Has anyone purchased this book and is it worth it?

I have it. If you understand the principles of synthesis (what LFOs are and stuff) then the first part of the book won’t help you, but the harmonic analysis part provides a nice insight on creating patches (nothing magical though). The patch book is nice, but I’m having troubles in making the LP sound like the software synth provided with the book in recreating the patches. The book is rather cheep so it won’t hurt to get it, but don’t expect no magic.

I’m curious to know if it offers anything I can’t get from the Sound On Sound Synth Secrets articles. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/allsynthsecrets.htm

SOS SS cover very complex synthesis methods using mostly modular aproach. I bough it because I was looking for idaes to program my LP. It’s nice for programming a 2 osc synth with basic architecture.

OK. Thanks. Maybe I’ll pick it up.
