Whenever I save an edited sound the LP “forgets” the octave settings of the oscillators.
After the LCD displays the message “Preset stored”, the panel LEDs display the octave settings that I programmed, but the sound plays with the octave settings of the factory preset that I hoped to overwrite.
I am not quite sure if I there’s a handling error on my site, but the pretty straightforward save procedure is rather fool proof
I am playing the LP in Local Off mode via Cubase midi through.
The LED rings nicely display midi control changes that are send from Cubase, however only in Local On mode, what is not the most preferred mode when used in connection with a sequencer.
The problem with the octave settings sounds like a bug to me.
Regarding the lightpipes not responding to midi in locol control off mode, this seems reasonable. In off mode, the front panel has no effect on the sound engine, but the front panel can still be used to control another midi device. The lightpipes should reflect the state of the front panel controls.
The octave settings issue on patch storage is a bug which has now been fixed. DocT, email techsupport@moogmusic.com for the latest OS.
As for the LED rings displaying CC changes only in Local On mode, yes this was a decision that was made for the reason babamoog inferred. Thanks again Stefan for your demos and your enthusiasm! Please keep me informed with all feedback and suggestions you have as you delve into this synth.
Ah, but wouldn’t it be cool if it was user selectable?! I would love to see
my LP responding visually to external control! I can’t wait to get mine -
hopefully they will arrive in Australia, soon…
