Vx-351 discussion....questions from other threads answered.

Friends,
There has been some discussion on some other threads lately about the zippering, and other things regarding the Vx351.

Tonight I was doing a little testing and here are some of the things that I noticed.

I believe someone quoted Amos saying that The LFO output was only available if that waveshape was selected.

When using a sine wave to control the pitch of the Voyager’s Oscs, I patched a square to the Freqbox and there definately was a squarwave output available. I think Mike from NJ was the one asking about that, perhaps not.

I also have brought up an issue about stepping on the voyager. For instance, using the touchpad to control filter or osc pitch via pot mapping generates stepping, due to the processing scanners. RL told me that us9ing the 351 there would be no scanning.
He was correct as the touchpad controlling the Osc pitch generated no stepping, but the MOD WHEEL controlling the freqbox’s pitch DID create some zippering.

I thought I would share this with you guys, because I coudln’t find the threads that they originally appeared in.
