I’ve always been intrigued by how design decisions are made be it in software (which I work) or hardware…
Looking at the 4 red oscillator switches you will notice that the first three are all ON/OFF in nature. The first two (1-2 SYNC and 3-1 FM) have ON on the top and the third (3 KB CONT) has ON on the bottom. The fourth switch is 3 FREQ with LO on top and HI on the bottom.
My questions is…why is 3 KB CONT reverse of 1-2 SYNC and 3-1 FM? Is it because the most logical default setting for that switch is ON which make all the logical defaults for those switches to be in the DOWN position?
Any thoughts? Comments?
