Voyager+ taxlbox demo; arturia modular/mini sequence track

I uploaded a demo of the Voyager with my new Rocktron Banshee talkbox, and ran that through the 102 and the 104. Here is the result and please by all means pay no attention to the babbling talkbox words. I just got the thing last Thursday. Still trying to learn how to talk lolol.

Its interesting that when you mic the talkbox, you can experiment with the direction that you are facing with it to generate an accent of different overtones from the tube.

Also on that link is a demo of the Synsonics ran through all of the Foogers.

Here is a version of a program that I did entirely on Arturia Modular/Minimoog plugin playing without a midi controller, just using the mouse to hit the keys.

HOpe you enjoy!

“I want you to know that I love you oh yeah” Hilarious and cool at the same time! Great demo, IMHO. I could see how one of them talkboxes could be useful. If I see a used one for sale, I’ll buy it. Otherwise, I’ll build my own after my other projects are completed.

I paid 69 for a rocktron banshee at the pawnshop lol.

Thats why I said please don’t pay attention to the mindless talkbox babbling lol. I didn’t come up with any structured words, I just was more paying attention to what I could hear in the phones.

Sounds like me playing with my Banshee 2 talkbox and Voyager…and that means its quite good…

Thanks lol.
How do you like that Banshee 2? It just has an effects loop right?

I like the Banshee 2 a lot…especially concerning the effect loop…you can get such a crazy effects.

F.i. i let my Boss RE-20 loop through it and you can get some great echo stuff on the talkbox voice with that.

Thats really cool. COnsidering that I bought mine used for 69 bucks, if I want something better, Ill just build one. Im thinking that it can’t really be all that hard to build a preamp and wire some jacks.

Eric

I tried building a talkbox out of a small kareoke machine, sugical tubing, duct tape and a plunger. Hahahaha it was a monstrosity! MacGyver I aint lol

You saw the pics out of the one that I made with an old pc speaker and the water tubing from the fridge and put all that in the frosty tin?

Im still going to build one.

Eric

I’m going to use a horn driver, water tubing, and a wooden box insulated with that pink foam used for insulating homes. I may have a small amplifier I can use from an old portable cassette recorder. This thing will be a beast. :smiling_imp:

really cool demo and the words were very clear i thought, make me want a talkox even more. i just dont know if i want a talkbox or a vocoder first…

Thanks!

Man talkboxing is very difficult. FIrst consonants don’t want to come out so you have to use your lips and teeth. Second Its damn near imposible to say Funk or Funky because of the UN. (not the international agency)

Like Hung or Funk or anything that ends in a G is difficult. A guy demonstrated how to say lung but he had to release the key on the G. But Funky is extremely difficult and Id go around saying that all day long if I could.

Eric

Change it to phonkay?
