Voyager congealed - no reaction

hi folks !

my voyager suddenly stopped sounding, the informations on the display vanished, the display
became darker and the whole synth seemed to get frozen.

after a reset and disconnection of all cables except power cable it worked again shortly,
than it felt back into stunned shock .. damn.

guess it’s a job for the technical support, isn’t it ?

I would like to reload the OS 3.5 but perhaps it can damage the OS itself if during the upload
the device freezes again .. what do you think ?
Is a connection via sound editor still possible if the OS is broken/inconsistent ?

is it secure to reload the OS in terms of this instability ?

what happens if an upload interrupts ?

This sound more like an hardware problem. So better don’t try to load the OS, as it might stuck somewhere in the process.

OK, I don’t want to repeat myself…but…
As long as there’s no message like “The Operating System has to be re-loaded” after power on it makes no sense to re-load the software. The Voyager always checks the flash ROM after power on.
It is dangerous when you try to load the software on a Voyager with a hardware/power problem!

Sounds like it might be a PSU problem…
Better contact Moog Music about it.
