Hi all,
I recently got the Minitaur and while it’s a nasty synth I noticed that VCO2 is not in tune with VCO1 when the VCO2 frequency knob is at 12 o’clock. Also when you get to 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock I’m getting to the octave above or below before getting to hard left and right.
Anyone out there know if this is something I can fix myself or should I contact moog support. Sounds like an oscillator calibration issue.
Also when the vco2 freq knob is turned slightly to the left the oscillators are in tune.

That’s how analog stuff works.
I don’t have a Minitaur, but that sounds like normal performance for an analog synth to me.

I’ve heard that’s how the old minimoogs were. But from what I understand the newer synths should be in tune all the time.
Thank you for your input. This has been extremely helpful. Should I run all of the Sysex commands in that folder from time to time?
One more question: Do I need to be in bootloader mode to send the sysex commands from the link provided?
I would say those two are the ones that should be sent from time to time.
No, the bootloader is only used when you are updating the firmware.

Thanks again.
The note calibration is self explanatory. I’ve run Sysex messages before.
However for the pot calibration do I send all 3 messages or just the VCO2/EG message?
Better do the complete pot calibration each time. That is, all 3 messages
Again thank you for your time and help. It’s much appreciated.
My minitaur is all set. Thanks for the help.
