(tune) I'm working on... Drum n bass vibes

Not quite finished, I’m looking for the right rasta vocals to go with it. Any tips where to find these “Congo Natty” type samples/vocals would be appreciated. Feedback is welcome.

Top one on player! ( Neptune)

Helluw Jason…

Again an incredible tune you created…couldn’t find anything to nitpick about…

I usually get my Congo Natty samples from their own records…they mostly have a acapella version on the same record which you can cut up.

DIdn’t Gary Wright use a MiniMoog on dreamweaver?

Cool stuff.

Eric

LOL EricK for recognizing Gary Wright on this one… I first heard this on the Waynes World sound track back in the day. Thought it would be sample worthy. Don’t tell anyone!!!
Thanks all for checking it.

Nice tune! Why is it that pieces of other’s work must be stolen? Never really understood why sampling is so common.

Sampling isn’t stealing, its a legitimate form of music engineering.

If you can take some robert johnson and mix it with some electronica and creatre a brand new fusion of styles then mad props to the artist who did so.

Ive sampled Frank Zappa and Stanley Clarke in my music, and Ill take pieces from movies or wherever.

Especially if you love the artist you sample its flattery.

Eric

Interesting take on it, EricK. As long as props are given, it’s alright. I just hate it when (rappers especially) take a beat or sample and try to claim it as their own. Vanilla Ice comes instantly to mind. :unamused:

vocals are added now. Check it out! Ruder Ranks on the mic…

Wassup m8…

Great addition to a great DnB track…fits perfectly…BIGUPPP !!!

Agree with this statement 100%!

Thanks for the positive feedback. Sometimes it’s lucky how things work out. I had never heard of this artist previous to this! These are the only two verses that were really useable. The other verses spoke of diamonds and rims etc.. LOL!
