TRS CABLES + PATCH BAY = ???

Hey Fellas. I’m still fairly new to the analogue synth world & could really use some guidance. I’m almost finished with the custom case for my Moogerfoogers, but I have a few questions I hope somebody here would be willing to answer.

  1. I bought all TRS cables for my Foogers connected to the patch bay. Will this work?
  2. Do I run any risk of voltage damage by using ALL TRS cables?

PS/ I might have some more quick questions in the near future. Thank you to anyone who can help me out

Do a search on this list for more info on hooking up a patch bay. In short, most of the connections will work though there are some resistors you’ll need to add as well as possibly some other things to take into account. More than enough info already to be found here.

Good luck with it. It’s a fantastic idea and one that I’d like to see Moog push a little more.

Thank you for your input. I have read most of everything I could find here on the forum, but its a clusterf@ck of ideas and solutions. “Use a resister here” “no it should be fine” " perform the soldering to your patchbay’s pcb" “use a dummy plug” ect ect… I understand its nobody’s job to figure this out for me for free, but I really do need some solid clear answers for wiring all of them up. And I don’t know where else to ask. Hopefully this thread will urge the folks on this board who do have the knowledge and know how to consolidate all of the solutions in a clear manner here.

I own a Nuetrik NYS- SPP-L, this seems to be the most popular budget bay used by the majority here.

I’m using all current production Foogers (3 Freq Boxes and 1 of everything else)

I have all TRS cables

Q. Which Foogers need special attention when it comes to TRS/TS cables, dummy cables, resistors soldered to the pach bay and any other modifications when plugged into a patch bay?

Again I appreciate anybody’s input here (including VSYEVOLOD). I know there is plenty of info on this forum, but its such a mess with contracting solutions. Hopefully somebody is willing to make it a little more clear and concise as to how one goes about connecting the entire Moogerfooger line to a patch bay. Cheers!!!

Yeah, I only know that the threads exist, though in a somewhat jumbled manner. I have yet to see a simple straightforward layout webpage or anything, perhaps a good task for someone who’s done this who has some extra time on their hands…
