Hi,
is there anyone here on the forum who has gotten Theremini Editor to work with a 2020 iPad pro (it has a USB-C connector) and Theremini (Mini-USB). If so, what adapter (cable) did you use for it?
It doesn’t work. Moog hasn’t updated the editor in SIX YEARS! I’ve tried on several iPads and a MacBook Pro - nothing worked. I was finally able to get it to work on an old laptop running Windows 10. Also, you’ll notice that Moog no longer posts the manual for the editor too and there are no help files with the editor. I found the manual on a “pay per download” site but was only on.a trial so I canceled it. I recommend you write to Moog (I did). If enough pro people complain, perhaps they’ll update it.
I did succeed connecting my old iPad Air 1 to the Theremini and making at least the Theremini Advanced SW Editor work. a OTG Lightning to USB adapter cable (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08XQLY6FG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
Unfortunately USB-C support seems to be an issue on newer iPad (Pros) - here it still does not fly even with an adapter which is called compatible with the apple world (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07TJ38SDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
Yes I tried this today and it first didn’t work – I think due to the Mini-USB-Cable I used. Then i took one from an old Nikon P50 Camera, this type with a magnetic spool intgrated. this worked! My iPad Pro 2020 uses ipadOS 18.6.2 btw.
