The Synth Bass thread

Hey guys.

I started a similar thread on some other forums, lets see how many of you guys respond here :slight_smile:

Basically the idea is to compare the bass capabilities of various synths, and it seems like many of you guys here have access to a lot of nice vintage gear.

In order to do this I figured that we should all use the same melody, so I took this bassline out of a Jamiroqaui song:

I’ll make some more later with the Q+ as well as the bass station rack.

I hope some of you guys reply! I would particularly enjoy hearing synths like the Voyager, Prophet 5, MS-20, etc. I’m sure others would as well :slight_smile:

When my new project studio is ready I’ll put my version here ánd on www.futureproducers.com with some personal patches of my MOOG Memorymoog, Roland Jupiter-8 and Elka Synthex.
And with a little luck maybe a Prophet-5 (I’m negociating with somebody for a P5 right now).

The finishing of my new studio was foreseen by the end of this month, but has unfortunately been delayed - due to some fuckin’ promising constructors who were FAR too late :angry: - to (probably) the end of April.
