The new 500 Series Analog Delay specs...

I’m sure you are all aware of this new module from Moog ?

http://www.moogmusic.com/analogdelay#specs-tab

But I have a question regarding the frequency response specs: how can a BBD analog delay, using good old Panasonic chips, offer a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz at +/-0.5 db at 800ms delay times ?
Or am I missing something ?

A very sharp high pass filter?

The frequency response spec isn’t for the BBD chip, It’s for the dry signal path.

I had figured as much…

It’s pretty useless to write specs of dry signal… I guess they’re probably afraid to write something like 50Hz to 7KHz @+/-3db …which is what the frequency response of BBD delay at 800ms would probably be…

(Come on Alain, one more post and you’re a number 1111! )

Thanks Steve!
I hadn’t noticed how much blabering I had made up to ths point! :open_mouth:
But it’s not a binary number, so the next one won’t be 10000…
