I’ve read about a lot of people having problems with the 104z feedback. The delay dies to quickly even with the feedback knob turned to full. I also had this problem..
Solution: Connect LOOP OUT to LOOP IN with a patch-cable, flip the panel-switch to EXT.LOOP.
Now, if the delay dies to quickly just pump up the LOOP GAIN knob(senterposition(5) is neutral, same as internal looping). You can even use it to make rhythmical volum-changes to the ongoing delay by stabbing the volum quickly up or down..
Couldn’t find any info on anyone doing this, so I though I’d share this technique.
I agree that it isnt really a fix, but from my perspective its better than any fix.. I enjoy very much the ability to manipulate volumchanges within the ongoing delay using the loop gain. It can also do things to very short delay time that internal looping can’t. Delays that are almost gone can be pumped up and brought back to life instantly. Having constant visual feedback on the delayvolum is also quite practical.
Anyways, I dig it..!!
