Taurus 2 - Pedals Cause Synth Power to Drop!

Hi

Just received a set of Taurus 2’s from across the pond from a reputable dealer.
Guaranteed to be working 100%…(!)

The pedals were well packed and no signs of any damage to synth, pedals or packaging.
As this is a US sourced T2, the supplied PSU is 120V - but no problem, I used a converter to 230V.
On plugging everything together, I noticed the power LED flickered then went off and a a buzz was present in the monitor.
I replaced the 120V PSU with a UK 230V PSU - same problem.

I then removed the 5 pin cable between the synth and pedals and the power LED came on and the synth made synth noises!
I have checked the cable with a DVM and it is reading ok, all 5 wires intact and no short.
I replaced it anyway and the same problem occurs.

Seems the problem is in the pedal unit - any thoughts why is should be pulling the power down?

UPDATE:

After taking apart the pedal board to check for dirt/metal fragments etc I plugged it all back together and it works.
Hmmm.

Oxidations…that’s the worst desease (old) synths suffer from. And this units are pushed around for more than 30 years now…
But go on keeping an eye on the pin connector cable. They hardened through the decades and can break, the tiny inner parts as well…
