T3 FX & CV Combinations...

Hey guys..

So, I’ve got a Taurus 3 and i’ve been getting some good times from it, recently i’ve added an EHX Bass Big Muff to it and it’s been great.
Anyway.. since then i’ve been looking at different stomp boxes and such to help me squeeze that little bit more from my T3 and it got me thinking that a CV theremin up at hand height with a T3 at my feet is gonna make for some very good times indeed..

Which brings me to my question(s).. I’m thinking of using the Theremin to control amplitude and filter freq on the T3.. but then I thought.. should i be filtering AFTER my FX and sweep the signal as a whole.. which would require a LPF Moogerfooger, but putting cost aside, what do you think you’d do in a similar situation? Anyone running a setup similar to this?

I suppose I can always do both control one with an expression pedal if i came right down to it.. it’s just i’d rather leave the T3’s control wheel on LFO/Modulation Amount, aside from that the only thing i really need to control live is the filter.. so here we are.

Thanks for your feedback

It boils down to what you wnat to hear.

Filtering after distorsion will give you the usual Moog filter sound, especially sicne the material you inject it rich.
Filtering before the distorsion will make the sound more unstable, with more low/mid-low end and will make more difficult to obtain pure bass.

You might want to try both first.
