Subsequent firmware and editor versions - beta map

Hi all,

As we’re adding more and more products (and therefore, new betas), there’s a need to clear things out as for the different versions that each product uses.

I will try to clear that out in this thread.

Sub 37 - no changes at the moment, uses the production firmware 1.2.0 and Sub 37 editor 1.0.0, with the dedicated windows drivers supplied with the package:

Subsequent 37 - currently uses the same firmware as Sub 37 - v1.2.0, and the Sub 37 dedicated Windows drivers, which are also in:

  • Any Subsequent 37 (non-CV) users who already installed CV firmware 1.3.1rc1, please revert firmware back to 1.2.0, using the Sub 37 updater. It was delivered by mistake and is only valid for Subsequent 37 CV users.

Subsequent 37 - also has a new dedicated editor in beta, which is Subsequent 37 Editor 1.0.0b4.1:

Subsequent 37 CV - uses a new firmware release candidate, which is v1.3.1rc1:

Subsequent 37 CV currently uses the same editor and drivers as Sub 37. We plan to make a dedicated editor for it soon, that I will post. For Sub 37 editor and drivers, see:

Minitaur - still uses the production editor 3.2.0, along with firmware is 2.2.1rc1 release candidate:

I do have the wrong beta firmware on my Sub 37 (the one for the CV Outs), which does solve the Note Piority bug. I don’t know if there is an update coming for this unit, nor when.
We want to sell this unit so we can replace it for a Subsequent 37 on our showroom, so if there is an estimated date, it would be awesome.

Regarding the editor, what is the difference between the Subsequent 37 and the Sub 37? I understand Sub 37 users can test the Subsequent 37 beta 1.0.0b4.1?

Sub 37 firmware is still 1.2.0. No new firmware version is currently planned. It may work with the SSQCV 1.3.1 firmware but theoretically it should use its own firmware.

SSQ37E and S37E are basically the same product, with SSQ37E featuring minor graphics changes, newer JUCE version, a few bug fixes and VST3 support. SSQCVE is yet another editor version, which is in development.
