Hello everyone, I’m using Subsequent 37 and Moog for first time and I experienced issues with preset changes set automatically by scenes in Ableton (Bank-SubBank-Preset).
Issue symptoms:
- All is well as the preset is within Bank 1.
- If Preset belongs to bank number > 1, then Subsequent jumps to Bank 9, even if set correctly in Ableton scene.
I was doing a research and it seems there is a communication issue related to the use of different MIDI communication protocols between Subsecuent (SysEx) and Ableton (MIDI standard). To me, it was expected this kind of issues wouldn`t be a problem using Sub Editor or Sub VI as interfaces, however, is not.
I was told that some M4L devices could help do the translations from one protocol to another one, but I don’t have M4L and I would like to know if M4L is the only way to solve the problem before buying M4L.
