Subharmonicon v1.1 midi sync bug

It seems that the v1.1 firmware update for the Subharmonicon has introduced a new bug. It doesn’t properly sync to midi anymore. It skips a beat/misses a clock pulse once in a while. I’ve tried it with 4 different midi clock sources and this Reddit thread confirms that it isn’t just my machine. Cv clock is still fine. This is kinda unfortunate since I don’t see the old firmware anywhere and in this state its impossible to sync it over midi.

Ah, ok so not just me, then. Is there a copy of the original firmware out there? I’d rather roll it back for the time being if possible.

I do have the same problem and would very much be interested in the old firmware. Why is it not available officially?

Yup, same here. I was so excited to finally be able to use the Seq 1&2 clock outs and then this… I expect better from this company to be fair.

Same problem here. I’m not able to sync my Subharmonicon via midi. Random steps are being delayed, sometimes it gets back in sync, sometimes not. And I’ve tried different midi-clocks: Ableton, Sequential Pro-3, Analog Rytm. The problem appears with any clock. Here’s a video I made: Subharmonicon Sync Issue (Midi Clock)

Is there any solution to this yet? Otherwise this great synth is of no use for me…

I emailed Moog on Mar 17. about it and they replied that the engineers are set to deliver the fix. They said the week after but I didn’t heard about from them since that. I will write again and post any infos about it here. You can fix the wonky Midi timing temporarily by patching an additional clock.

Regards,
Stefan

There’s a new firmware v1.1.1 with the fix: https://back.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/2022-04/Subharmonicon_Firmware_v1_1_1.zip

The problem is its impossible to apply the patch

Moog are putting out buggy gear with improper update procedures in place. It’s not right for a company to charge the amount you pay for such buggy products. Moog, sort this out!!!
