Hi,
I am experiencing some problems when playing MIDI from logic to the Sub Phatty…
When i record my audio and play it back, it is early, the waveform is way before the beat.
If i do the same in Ableton live, it is perfectly in sync.
any idea ?

I had the same recently.. It had to do with the kind of track I made..
You should make an ‘software instrument track’ and as an instrument choose ‘external instrument’.
If you set it up like this the strange sync problem is gone..
Hope this helps..
but you can’t select external instrument on an instrument track…
I don’t understand how to use the plugin, is there a manual for this ?
you should not select an external instrument track, as I said before, choose an software instrument track. Then as software instrument (plugin) you choose ‘External instrument’.
If you do this you should choose the right inputs for the sound from the interface and voila!
Now you have a midi track that also accepts incoming audio signal from your interface.
Good luck!
But what about the editor plug in? is it worthless?
No the plugin is great.. but I guess we are misunderstanding each other..
just to be sure:
add a track.. choose ‘software instrument’ when asked what kind of track.. as an instrument you choose ‘external instrument’ with the right audio and midi ports.
Then as Audio FX plugin you choose the moog editor plugin!
Voila!
A track that records MIDI, and plays audio!
PS. keep the Moog plugin in OFF state .. It still works then, but it saves you from crashes..
I wanted to add an attachment to clarify, but I get a “Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.” message.. bad luck ![]()
if you are using logic 9 you need to use the VI version of the plugin.
if you are using logic x you need to use the other version of the plugin.
