My Sub Phatty is about 10 months old
It has had some trouble since somtime this winter.
It makes a static crackling noise in the backround, and the volume jumps up and down very inconsistently. There seems to be disturbance of the frequency-level as well.
The noise is more or less the same, whatever settings. It just disappears when sound in general gets lower.
The strange thing is, that it does not do this all the time. It seems to randomly switch to normal or to this troubled state every 2-10 minutes.
Sometimes it works when i switch it off and on again, and sometimes just that makes it sound wrong again.
I have done all this testing with only headphones and the power ouput plugged in, but the trouble happens when its plugged into a guitar-cabinet as well. I have tried with two different headphones and different power-outputs in the house.
I will probably have to send it in, put do anyone have any thoughts/experience with this?
