Sub Phatty Classic Presets

Hi, new as a forum member. I’ve had my SP for about 7 months and have programmed (as best I could) a number of “classic” presets - from progressive music of the 1970s and a little into the 1980s. These include attempts to reproduce famous synth sounds from Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes, etc. I’m still struggling with some of the programming so some sounds are pretty spot-on, others are missing something. I’m sharing them in the hope that someone can improve them (example: I created a preset named Lucky Man, but it’s missing that sweep part of the sound and I don’t know how to program this or if the SP is limited and can’t produce this part of the sound). I tried uploading the presets, but it says quota reached. If someone has suggestions on how I can make these available, please let me know. I don’t have any online storage capability at this time. Thanks

This is a powerful synth and I’ve been able to recreate the synth sounds that first got me interested in synthesizers and particularly MOOG. Love this synth!

The Sub Phatty can get that sound. I play that song with my band.

The sweep sound may be the glide parameter. During the course of the solo, I vary the glide amount.

Thanks, but I’m talking about an osc sweep not the glide. It’s automated, seems to be tied to releasing the key and then there’s a downward sweep (maybe filter?). Don’t know how to program this part.

Hey, could you share your preset? I’d love to know what I’m missing in the programming. Thanks

Dropbox is a free and popular way to share files like this: https://www.dropbox.com/home. It’s very easy to set up a public folder and then post the URL for it on the forum.

there’s also a Yahoo group for Moog users, which has a file area with 4+ years worth of user patches for various instruments. Sub Phatty could probably use some more representation there!

Hi everybody, I followed Amos’ suggestion and posted the presets on Knob Tweak. They won’t be available until approved, but you should see them by tomorrow. I hope a competent programmer can improve some of them…

Thank you, krel.
