Hi all, Just bought a used sub 37 and I’ve noticed some odd things, clicking at the start of some patches and clicks on patches that cycle the slope. Also I has an issue when sequencing from ableton that the volume kept jumping up and even played when set to zero on the synth! Worried that I’ve got a bad one!

Clicking at the start of sounds can happen with very fast envelope times. This is normal and happens with all synths. Just slightly increasing the attack times can get rid of the clicking. You can also try to use the KB RESET switch to force the oscillators to restart every time you play a note (presumably starting from zero). BTW, KB RESET is also good to have on bas sounds to make the attack consistent between notes.
The clicking when changing filter slope is normal and can’t be avoided since you effectively switch between different waveforms, and that introduces discontinuities. You might find that when playing the synth in a mix the clicks may not be that audible.
There’s nothing wrong with your synth based on this. We all have to deal with clicks sometimes, either tweaking so they go away, accept that they’re there, or try it in the mix to hear if it’s less audible.
