I’m trying to use the CP251 to mix the output of a Blacet VCO with the Voyager’s VX351 Busses Wheel output to get uniform vibarato between the Voyager and Blacet VCOs. The problem is that, while I can get the Blacet VCO to stay in tune with the Voyager if I just use the pitch output from the VX351 straight into the Blacet VCO , if I put the CP251 mixer between the Blacet VCO and the Voyager I can only achieve an in tune range of about an octave. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Welcome to the world of control voltage.
Amos at Moog helped me out with this question. I ran the VX 351 keyboad pitch output to a mult. Then I ran two patches from the mult to the mixer. I then adjusted the output down on the mixer until I was able to achieve a one octave range on the keyboard with the Blacet VCO. Then I added the VX 351’s busses wheel output to the mixer to get uniform vibrato on both the Voyager and Blacet VCOs.
