[SPHE] No bugs ?

I’m sure Sub Phatty Editor can be released at this point  Or are there any new bugs anyone would like to report ? :sunglasses:

I haven’t tested all functions yet, anyway the editor seems to be working fine

However, there is at least one reported bug on the firmware: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=27031

Sorry Gil I’ve been busy lately and not had much time for testing (reporting). I have still same issues with Automation on the VST3 Instrument version under Sonar Platinum. See my post on the main b6 thread. Chris

Thanks,

A search shows many issues that you reported about the production (1.x) version, I guess many of them do not happen with the latest beta.

Can you please let me know specifically, what are the exact automation issues you’re having in Sonar using 2.0.0b6 ?

Does it only happen with VST3 and NOT with VST2 ?

VST -and- VSTi ?

Any project you can attach ?

Thanks!

Thanks, are you referring to the lack of modulation on the top C ?

Amos will check this out soon along with all other firmware issues.

Anything else which is Editor related ?

Indeed, lack of modulation above C6 if the LFO KB AMT is at its highest value. Actually I just found out that it gives a very high pitched note when all of this is set, instead of the C6 note

EDIT: it randomly gives the high pitched note

I first reported the issue in ‘b2’ first in this post
https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=28323#p164165

then I reported it was still an issue in ‘b5’ in this post
https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=28405#p164474

I did not appear to log anything against b3 and b4, possibly because my issue was not listed as fixed. Not sure.

Basically only the VST3 instrument automation is not working. Its pretty easy to reproduce,

  1. new empty project
  2. insert instrument track Moog | Sub Phatty the VST3 version -(select the top one, with the little 3 next to it, if see 2 versions)
  3. Press the W button on top right to enable automation write on the SPHE instrument GUI.
  4. Start playback and move the FIlter knob on the SPHE GUI.
  5. Stop playback
no envelope is recorded at all.

In addition if you manually create an envelope, it does work but only for one parameter. Add another envelope and it shows as ‘Orphaned’.

Yes, only the VST3 instrument is broken. VST2 is all good.

Only the VST3 instrument (VST3i) is affected.

Well I can if you really think you need it. Its pretty easy to reproduce…

Chris

Thanks, we’re on it.

Do any of the following issues still happen to you?

Strange ‘Host bypass’ button issue
In both the VST3 Effect and VI plugins, Sonar incorrectly indicates a ‘Host Bypass’ whenever the plugins GUI opened.

Sub Phatty Editor-VI(x64).dll - Working in Sonar, but automation only works when SP set to Midi Channel 1

Sub Phatty Editor(x64).dll - Working in Sonar, but automation only works when SP set to Midi Channel 1
MIDI forwarding does not work - when ‘MIDI Out’ of the plugin is enabled in Sonar, playing keys on SP do not appear to be received by Sonar.

Yes, both VST3 Instrument and VST3 Effect have this bug

No, this bug had gone away several versions ago

I just tried this again, and no it still doesn’t work. But we really don’t need it anymore since the new multi-midi drivers are a better way

Thanks for checking, reporting on.
