[SPH] Sub Phatty firmware 2.1.13 is available !

Hello beta group!

Sub Phatty firmware beta v2.1.13 is now ready to test. This version fixes a few major issues:

Preset Level is now separated from Master Volume, fixing:

  • Preset level is overwritten by physical level pot position
  • Volume jumps when loading preset vol + master vol knob in relative mode

Additional fixes:

  • Turning MIDI SYNC off, rate isn’t set to LFO RATE value
  • LFO KBD AMT only affects LFO if you re-set LFO RANGE
  • Tilde char added to preset names once Saved
  • GUI reverts to original setting when saving preset on hardware

IMPORTANT: Please check your current SPH firmware version by loading the Editor and looking for the firmware version number on the preference page. If it’s 2.x, you may install the new firmware. If it’s 1.x, please check your unit’s serial number. In case it is #2892 or lower, please do not update your firmware as it requires updating the bootloader. If higher, it’s safe to go and update the firmware.

Thanks for your cooperation!

I just installed it and indeed the volume now works as expected when changing presets

However, I was not able to reproduce this on the previous beta 2.1.9:

  • LFO KBD AMT only affects LFO if you re-set LFO RANGE

The bug I originally reported and which was set to high priority is still there. Here is the thread about it:

https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=27031&hilit=[sph]+lfo+bug

I don’t know if the one mentioned above is the same I originally reported

Just a little note/possible confidence booster for anyone who has a similar experience..

Checked Serial number, all ok.

Ran nice new firmware updater

Firmware erase..

Firmware Update… Fail “Unknown Error, Please Try Again”

Don’t panic, try again! Fail…

Quite and restart updater

Still done panic, reboot Phatty. Midi light blinking only

Run updater (go make a cup of tea as watching can reek havoc!)

Come back with nice relaxing cup of tea and update successful

Make Music!
