SOLVED: Hold pedal FW bug? Does not buffer Note Offs

When I use an external keyboard with the Sub 37 (through DAW or directly with DIN MIDI from keyboard to synth) and I press the hold pedal (MIDI message 64) then the synth holds the tone fine after I let go of the keyboard, but when I let go of the pedal the sound continues until I press the key again and it afterwards receives a Not Off on that specific note.

As far as I understand the MIDI specification the Synth must postpone and save the Note Off messages during the pedal being down and execute them when it is lifted. The sub 37 seems to remember all the Note On messages during Hold pedal since if you press several keys subsequently like C-D-E-F during hold pedal and then let go of the pedal, then F continues to play until you hit the F key and let go, then F turns off but then the synth plays E and so on … so it remembers all the Not On states but does not seem to buffer the Note Off messages.

bug confirmed and fixed! Thanks very much for reporting.

(fix will be in v1.1.25 / v1.2.0)

Hoegge, will you be able to confirm ?

Waiting to sort out some issues with the OSX firmware updater, which should be ready by later today.

Windows updater and plain-old-sysex available here if curious:

Cannot test until the firmware updater runs again to install 1.2.25

Works as it should on 1.1.24

Nice - kind of strange this bug has not been reported a long time ago after the release of Sub 37 - but maybe a hold pedal is not really used much on a monophonic synth
