My slim phatty always seemed to work fine, but I was using it via USB in Cubase.
Now i’ve got a Cirklon and midi randomly stops working
1 moment i’m playing a pattern, the other moment the midi signal indicator stops flashing and no more midi is received. (This is with no clock being sent to the phatty btw)
I turn the phatty off/on, still no midi
I look in the system menu, all midi port options (usb/din options) are gone and the 34 midi loader indication behind 680 is gone too?!?!
Turn off power again, everything disconnected/reconnected still no midi activity or 34 indication or USB/DIN options… Factory reset, powercycle again and suddenly everything works again (need to sysex patches again etc etc but it works) until next time. Which seems to be multipe times a night.
It might be me, but it seems the usb/midi board actually loses either connection to main FW or is just buggy as hell?
Is my unit broken or is this erratic behaviour a known gripe (i’m not talking stuck notes, i’m also not talking DIN not working when connected when powering up) i’m really worried about midi communication randomly stopping via DIN. any suggestions? Or does my unit need to go in for repair?
