Slim Phatty Issues

Hi, I just bought a second hand slim phatty and I have some problems with it:

a)
After warming up, the second oscillator isn’t in tune with the first one. I can tune it (like one Led-bar right of 12 o’clock) so it matches the first osc, but if I load up patches, they sound like crap! I dont really care, because I’m not interested in the presets, but will this progress?
like in two years I have to retune my selfmade patches?

b)
When controlled by my E-piano via MIDIport, the Slim keeps MIDInotes, it just doesn’t stop playing them. I can turn it of through the Mastermenu (all notes off), but it’s really annoying since this happens like once a minute. It doesn’t happen with other Midi-devices.
Whats the reason for this?

Thanks, Fred

If you haven’t done so already, you"ll probably want to download the users manual from the Moog website.

Since your SP is second -hand, you probably want to reset it to factory settings, so you’ll have a known good start point.

Also, recommend you look up the calibration routines in the manual, and perform ALL the routines, in the order listed. Makes a BIG difference in tuning, and should be good for a LONG time.

Remember to let the SP warm up for a good 45 minutes or so before changing any tuning settings or running the calibration routines.
