Hi all , owner of a Slim Phatty since yesterday I have the following issue (experienced by other users apparently)
I’m using the SP with ableton Live 8 via usb cable . First of all i noticed that the cutoff sound was a bit dirty and that the encoders acted wierdly , i found out that it was because of a usb feedback loop caused by my DAW when i set the phatty usb in AND out on . When i switch off the midi data’s coming out of the moog everything goes back to normal , only problem is that by doing so i can no longer send messages from the pots . So no filter automation possible for instance.
Then i found a post from Amos which stated that ,in such case, LOCAL CNTRL on the SP should be set to OFF , which makes sense but when i do that the filter is making huge steps (instead of acting smoothly) when i turn the knob and the same thing happens when i play back the track with automation .
Setting “send 14bit” to on OR off doesn’t make a difference.
Any ideas ?
My slim phatty came with the OS ver. 3.12 680/34 already installed…
