When i update my OS, do i loose al my presets?
No !
If it would, there would be a warning in bold letters in the update instructions.
But if you really love your sounds, why not make a back-up just before the OS update. Once you connected to a sequencer it only takes you a minute or two.
I do so before every OS update.
I use midi-ox for this, but it shouldn’t be a problem.

I prefer pure Sys-Ex programms for this kind of job too.
And these tools are freeware.
But the Voyager Editor is also a great tool forthis. But not freeware at all.
I’m looking forward too purchase the editor in the fall, but i want to train my patching skills by doing things manualy. I work the whole day behind a cumputer so when doing the synth thing i want to work hands on. 
Midi-Ox is perfectly fine for sending the operating system and backing up presets.
