Sequenced part on Rush's "Vital Signs" from Moving

Does anyone know what he was using to create that part. Mini Moog? OBX?Do you think I could recreate that with the Little Phatty?

I must take a listen to that, it’s been a while. Lemme say this : It’s common knowledge that the Little Phatty is now a VITAL part of Geddy Lee’s live set-up. It’s a good SIGN if anything :wink:

I am also a Rush fan. I choose it because of it’s own merits, but I happen to be the proud owner of a nice Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. A fine instrument.

It was slaved to Geddy’s Oberheim DS-2 sequencer back then.

Allright, got the sequence of Vital Signs (filmed in my home town) in my Electribe EA-1 mkII. I’ll take a shot at this. Now to sound shaping. I will go with my SH201 for the first try. I think I remember a very close preset on it. The thing has hardly been used since I got my first Moog (LP). Although it (the SH201) can be very annoying if you press one of those trance style preset in the first 4 banks (these are fixed, can’t get rid of them), it’s a fantastic machine for pads and an overall very capable and easy to work with synthesizer.
