Hi, I’m trying to figure out if it is possible to send MIDI Clock only (without Note On) from the Grandmother to the Mother. My signal flow is:
DAW → MIDI over USB (Interface doesn’t have DIN) → Grandmother → MIDI over DIN → Mother32 → CV → DFAM.
I am running the latest firmware but can’t figure out how to do this. I would like to use MIDI Clock so I can use the Tempo knob on the Mother32 as a clock divider. Per the Mother32 manual: When the Mother-32 is receiving MIDI Clock Messages, the Tempo control becomes a “clock divider”with 8 possible clock division values: 1/32 note, 1/16 note, 1/8 note, quarter note, dotted quarter note,half note, dotted half note and whole note.
Is this possible with the native hardware? If not, I’m thinking of buying a USB to MIDI DIN to connect to the MIDI IN on the Grandmother and then the MIDI Thru to the Mother32. From my understanding this would only pass the clock info without the Note On info.
