RME MIDI Problem

I’m having some issues with my beloved RME

I unwired all my connections when mounting it in it’s new rack and now it doesn’t seem to receive any MIDI, the MIDI indicator light does not illuminate at all and no sound comes out.

I have tried using different midi cables, different channels, tried different midi sources including USB midi, my remote SL, and my andromeda a6. I have tried changing a multitude of settings on the RME and have also tried a factory reset. Nothing seems to help

Is there something I might be overlooking or do I need to get it looked at?

Can you change the presets on your Andromeda with the RME when the MIDI out of the RME is connected to the Andromeda’s MIDI in?

I just tried this and the andromeda doesn’t seem to be receiving anything

OK, how did you make the factory reset and what are the software versions (system and boot)?

OS version is 3.5 (Release 02/02/2010)
Boot Version 3.5

I did the factory reset by:
Master>Copyright Info>^arrow>Factory Reset

That was absolute correct. Then I guess (if your MIDI cables are OK) there’s a hardware problem on your Voyager :cry:

BTW: after Factory Reset you have to push ENTER and then select YES by the CURSOR and then ENTER

Hardware failure was what I was afraid of. I’m a little surprised since it’s only 2 months old but I guess there’s little I can do aside from an RMA. :frowning:
