Questions about the clock, arp and sequencer?

Hi all,

Just started programming my new Muse and I’ve run into a few issues. So apparently it is not possible to save the clock tempo with a patch? You have to configure the sequencer and change the tempo and lock it to a patch and if you want to jump from one synth patch to another with changing master clock tempo you do this via changing the sequencer patch (which you can maybe only lock to the one corresponding slot in the synth patch list)? Also it would be really helpful to see the bpm when you turn the clock knob? Is there actually any information on this possibly changing with updated firmware at some stage?

Another thing is that if you use the arp, it does not “trigger” the moment a note is played, but rather on the next beat (or division) of the master clock? So if you don’t use any external sync, you’re sort of tied to the grid dictated by the master clock, whereas in other synths the arp will run the moment it is gated (naturally at the master clock tempo) regardless of whether you happen to be in between two beats (or selected arp divisions) of the master clock?

I hope I’m making sense, and am I missing something here? There must be some reason related to the instruments architecture for all this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Concerning the ARP gate clock and triggering, I noticed this too. It is very annoying. I was going to look into it, but have not yet. My quick fix is to practice a little bit and change the chord, so to speak, before the measure starts, for live play.. But there is much room for screwing up when playing live… For recording in the studio, it is not that much of an issue due to delete and cut and past, if you can understand. Bottom line, this should be fixed with firmware via a triggering option.
