Progress update on Moog One firmware?

As far as sales on Moog Ones go, here’s the AI summary on a search:

“ Moog has assembled at least 3,000 Moog One synthesizers. This milestone was reached in September 2020, approximately two years after the synth’s initial release, according to Synthtopia. Estimates based on serial numbers suggest the total number of Moog Ones sold could be around 4,100, according to Gearspace.
While Moog has not officially released sales figures, the 3,000th unit milestone and subsequent discussions suggest a substantial number of Moog Ones have been sold, particularly considering its high price point. The 16-voice version seems to be more popular, with an estimated 3,100 units sold compared to 1,000 of the 8-voice version, according to Gearspace”

That ain’t bad sales figures. At least I can continue guessing that they made no loss from the MoogOne. Though, I admit that no-one can know how much they paid for RMA, since I think that a lot of those units had serious issues.

Anyways, for the software: Yes Moog (my gosh, I don’t want to write InMusic…) please charge a few bucks for 2.0. That’s okay. Nobody would assume that you introduced bugs intentionally for former releases just to charge later. A great OS 2.0 would make this synth most probably the best synth ever made.

PS: Bought the Muse, too, to support Moog as a brand. It’s cool on it’s own, but it’s nowhere near the One.

And now we can stick a fork in this thread because the v1.8.0 firmware is done! Yay!

Thanks to ALL for your patience and support!

Thanks to ALL for your patience and support!

And thanks for delivering this Moog. As a loyal user of the One since release, I’ve stood by it and although it’s had its quirks it remains the best polysynth I’ve ever used. What would be great going forward, is for Moog to use this forum to set out what an incremental path for firmware upgrades looks like going forward. Many of us have lots of experience ( ), with it and suggestions for its improvement going back to its original design ethos.

Let’s help you Moog.

Thanks

Ian.

I will report this to our team! Thanks for your feedback!

RobG - Would you be able to give an update on if Moog development has been able to reproduce any of the owner issues reported here and any insight into the path and timeline forward to resolve? I’m thinking several of us need to determine if we have to accept the risks and roll back to 1.5 or if fixes are coming quickly.
