Problem with Mf-101. Please Help!

Hi everyone,

I just purchased an MF-101 and when I started using it there was a problem. In Bypass mode, there was absolutely no sound coming out. Completely muted. Then when I switched bypass off, the signal came out but it was barely effected by turning the knobs on the pedal. I tried out each knob at their respective extremes and there was no change in sound. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Was everything plugged in and turned up? Did the leds light?

Everything is plugged in and all lights are good. I adjusted all the knobs the way the manual says to when you’ve first opened it. There is NO sound coming out of it when it’s on bypass mode. Sound comes out when Bypass is off but the knobs have little effect except for the filter which seems to work okay. I don’t have an expression pedal yet but I believe the pedal is supposed to give some kind of filter-esque effects without cutoff control right? Otherwise it just sounds like my regular bass but a little rounder and distorted.

BTW if it makes a difference:

I’m playing a Streamer Stage II w/ passive/active switch into a GK 800RB and GK 4x10

Is it plugged in the correct way? Guitar → Audio In ||| Audio Out → Amp.

Turn the filter cutoff all the way up and increase the drive until the drive light turns yellow.

luckily my roommate is a guitar tech and he fixed it! woohoo…problem came down to some dirt around the pole switch…we did a nintendo-style fix (blowing into it like crazy) and now it works. thanks for responding and trying to help I really appreciate it.
