phatty louder than voyager at 12 o'clock. normal?

When all other factors are equal and the SP and Voyager volumes are both set to 12 o’clock, the Phatty is louder than the Voyager. I have to turn the Voyager a little past 2 o’clock (or just past 6 on the dial) to get it to a competing volume. I know they have different pots/encoders, so is this a normal issue?

don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me and really doesn’t pose any problem. This query is more for my own curiosity.

thanks

Perfectly normal.

Each instruments have their own internal calibration, and different final output gain.

You can observe the same phenomenon with two different electric guitars. They will not necessarily produce the same volume levels at the same volume knob settings, depending on their pick-ups types and different internal volume knob values.

The same can be said of different musical instrument amplifiers. A Marshall Stack at 5 on the volume dial will be much louder than a Roland Cube 40 at the same volume knob setting.

Cool. That was my assumption, but I don’t like to just assume and move on. Thanks for the reassurance.
