Phatty controls VST plugin, plugin has no effect on phatty

Hello wise Moog users,

I am auditioning the VST Phatty plugin, demo edition, running on Ableton 8 contacted to a slim phatty via USB.

The good: The phatty controls on the synth interact with the plugin just fine, my knob tweaks are reflected on the screen.

The bad: the changes I make on the plugin with my mouse have no effect on the phatty.

When I modulate MIDI CC messages on individual clips, the phatty responds to that just fine ( which is, wildly fun) so it is communicating with LIVE, just not with the plugin. I want to get this cleared up before spending $70 on it.

However, the plugin has no effect.

Any tips?
